Valencia was the first master-planned community developed by Newhall Land and Farm. It is located at the northwestern corner of the Santa Clarita Valley, in Los Angeles County, and next to Interstate 5. The neighborhoods are beautifully designed with parks, lush landscaping, and paved pathways called paseos which connect areas together. Connected by bridges and lighted pathways. The paseo system is unique to Valencia. Valencia has been named one of the best places to live, raise a family, and work in the United States.

If you are looking for the perfect home and the perfect community, take a good look within the Stevenson Ranch real estate market in the beautiful Santa Clarita Valley. Located at the foot of the Santa Susana Mountains, Stevenson Ranch offers home buyers a variety of stunning neighborhoods, award-winning schools, hillside real estate with breathtaking views, and lovely community parks. Stevenson Ranch encompasses 38.5 miles, and the population is around 11,000. It is a close-knit community away from the bustle of metropolitan life in Los Angeles. Surrounded by open spaces and natural terrain, Stevenson Ranch provides its residents with that quiet, calm, relaxed lifestyle busy Californians need.

Until the late 1940s, when people moved west after World War II, Saugus was a sleepy little town surrounded by several large ranches. Today, the community caters to family living with much of its development built along Bouquet Canyon Road, which extends through the picturesque hills all the way to the Antelope Valley, Seco Canyon Road, and Copperhill Drive. Saugus is known for its parks, and one of the newest additions to the community is the 40-acre Central Park, which includes many amenities such as lighted sports fields and some 500 trees. Phase 2 of the park opened in January 2003, boasting four additional sports fields, a new restroom facility, walkways, and shade trees. A recent residents’ survey revealed that 70 percent of the homeowners want to maintain Saugus as a bedroom community and not a business-oriented area.

Charming Canyon Country has become its own mecca within the Santa Clarita Valley. Canyon Country has everything to offer the home buyer from single-family homes, townhouses, condominiums, and even large equestrian estates. The community is known, in fact, as an equestrian community. The Sand Canyon community provides ranch-style living with its upscale custom homes and wide-open spaces. It is home to the Robinson Ranch Golf Course. Canyon Country real estate is right for the buyer looking for scenic vistas, lovely homes, gorgeous sunsets, and great weather. Close enough to Los Angeles, with the Metrolink to have that metropolitan feel but distant enough to that close-knit community atmosphere too.

Named for Henry Mayo Newhall, Newhall began as a ranch and railroad town in the late 19th century and has blossomed into a wonderful community. Property in Newhall is diverse with beautiful mountains, historic sites linked to Hollywood’s golden era of western movies, and close proximity to shops with a distinct western flair. Homes for sale in the area include single family, residential, townhouses, condominiums, and lots for development. Newhall is located at the southern end of Santa Clarita. It is a beautiful and mature community with a mix of parks, historic movie sites, recreation, entertainment, and shopping. It is also a diverse and fast-growing industrial and commercial center.

Home of Castaic Lake, this community offers resort-style living while being commuter friendly and only minutes from downtown Santa Clarita. Known primarily as a truck stop for many years, Castaic is fast becoming a popular residential community. In fact, it is predicted the town’s population of 16,000 will triple in five years. The most northerly community of the Santa Clarita Valley, Castaic is located along Interstate 5 freeway, the main north-south artery between San Francisco and Los Angeles. In 1866 General Edward Beale bought the town known as Rancho Castaic and changed its name to Castaic. In 1887 the Southern Pacific Railroad established a train stop at Castaic Junction, and two years later the first school was founded. In recent years, the 1.2 million-square-foot Valencia Commerce Center was built at the intersection of Interstate 5 and State Route 126. It features a 1,800-employee postal center, the corporate headquarters of Remo Inc., ITT, Ultraviolet Devices Inc., and other corporate giants.
